Greetings, I'm Meteorologist David Boyd. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in
December 2005 with a Meteorology degree and a minor in Broadcast Meteorology.
I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. I went to UT-Knoxville for two years, then transferred
to OU-Norman. While in Oklahoma, I learned a great deal about weather and broadcasting.
I was trained on the same weather graphics system used at WCYB/WEMT.
My first broadcasting job was at BBB Communications in Oak Ridge, TN. This position
helped me improve my weather story-telling skills. I enjoy keeping you informed about the
weather across the Southern Appalachians of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia!
